As well as working with groups of colleagues we run Open Workshops, where individuals can come and take advantage of this exciting training. These sessions are open to everyone with a webcam and a Zoom account. You will have the opportunity to ask frank questions, develop fresh skills and build your confidence away from the scrutiny of your peers, under the supervision of a coach with 20 years of experience in making groups safe, creative, inclusive and playful.

Online workshop 4 November. 2:00pm – 4:00pm (UK time)

You can’t meet your clients in person. You can only check in with your team as a box on the screen. An urgent new business pitch has to be delivered remotely.

More than ever before, your ability to hold your audience with the power of your words is absolutely critical.

Expert communicators are wonderful storytellers. They use the techniques of novelists, screenwriters, journalists and raconteurs to select and structure their material in ways that will inspire, excite and influence their audience.

This isn’t simply a knack, or the fruit of a lifetime’s study and practice – it’s possible to make rapid progress with some easy techniques.

In this two hour interactive seminar, you will learn…

  • How to find the “spine” of your story, and what to do with it once you’ve found it.
  • How to simplify complex ideas without being accused of “dumbing down”.
  • How to make dry material compelling and big ideas extraordinary.
  • How to use visual language to paint pictures in the minds of your audience.
  • How to create stories which resonate with other people – even total strangers.

At the end of the workshop you will receive a  20 page PDF Insight Summary and a Follow-Up programme of exercises so that you can apply your insights straight away.

Whether you are delivering training, keeping your team united and motivated, pitching for new business or making your case in the boardroom or the media, these principles will enhance your ability to communicate with clarity, power and empathy.

Usual price £95 inc. VAT. Early bird pricing £75 inc. VAT if you book before 23 October. Places are limited.

Wednesday 11 November, 2:00pm. BOOK NOW.

Over the last six months, use of video calling platforms like Zoom has skyrocketed.

People who has never used video-conferencing before are using it frequently, and people who used video-conferencing only occasionally are using it constantly.

And we’re getting better at it. We don’t need to be told “you’re on mute” every single time now. We’ve worked out that we don’t look good sitting in front of a big open window. We can hear and be heard.

But often, it all goes to pieces when we start trying to share our screen. It’s clumsy, it’s fiddly and – crucially – we lose one of the main benefits of video calling: our face gets shrunk down to a little postage stamp.

But – with a bit of effort and a couple of extra bits of software, you can share material in a much more fluid, dynamic way and you can maintain your presence in the meeting.

Setting this up by yourself can be a bit tricky at first, but in this workshop, we’re going to talk you through everything you need to do, step-by-step.

Every time we deliver training using this system, somebody wants to know how we’re doing it.

On this workshop, we’ll show you.

NOTE: You must be working on a computer where you are allowed to download additional software. If your IT policy prevents you from doing this, do not book your place until you have resolved that issue.

Online workshop 2 December. 2:00pm – 4:00pm (UK time)

Business has always been about relationships. How you come across, who has learned to like and trust you. Who is motivated to help you out.

Now so many of us are working from home, it’s much more difficult to quickly generate that rapport even with existing contacts and when meeting new people, it can be almost impossible.

We can help.

“Your session was the most memorable and impactful course I have been on at the firm.” – Global Advisory Consultant

The Charisma Key is a powerful combination of acting technique, confidence building, body language and psychology that can transform a person’s effectiveness in high stakes situations. We bring out the very best in a person, combining power and authority with warmth and charm. It’s is applicable to everything from client meetings and job interviews to formal presentations, board meetings and conference calls.

In this two-hour online workshop, we’ll look at the anxiety that holds people back, the hidden language of personal transactions and how small adjustments in tone and appearance can make huge differences.

“This is a vital session – a fundamental, in-depth understanding of how we communicate. One of the best workshops I have ever done”- Insurance Manager

After attending this workshop, clients discover that they have the motivation to change their own behaviour in authentic ways; subtly but actively improving the atmosphere in interactions instead of taking a passive and reactive role.

At the end of the session, participants will receive a 20 page PDF workbook, summarising the content of the session and with exercise to continue the learning.

Sign up now and take advantage of the early bird pricing: just £75 if you book before 18 November.

Thursday 12 November. 2:00pm UK time. Book now.

We are most ourselves where we feel included, with our best friends or family. We are most included where we feel we are with our “tribe”. It is easy to feel excluded or included only tentatively when we are in the minority. This means that if you’re in the minority because of gender, race, sexuality, gender expression, gender identity or disability in the business world it can be easier to stay on the fringes of the action although your instinct, talent, experience and ideas are telling you to get into the middle of the fray.

We are told we need to “lean in” but how and when can it be done with flair and charisma? Once you’ve included yourself, how can you include others? And how do these two things go hand in hand?

Thursday 19 November. 2:00pm UK time. Book now.

Many people expend a lot of energy trying to make sure that tomorrow is quite like yesterday. When all of our days are similar, predictable, routine, then we feel comfortable, secure and in control. When sudden change happens and our tomorrows become chaotic and unpredictable, it’s easy to become insecure, anxious or even panicky.

Deborah’s background in comedy and improvisation gives her a unique take on how to deal with an unknowable future – something which 2020 has given us all a lot of brutal practice in dealing with. With her help, you’ll be able to go from fearing change to embracing it and all the possibilities it might bring.

Thursday 26 November. 2:00pm UK time. Book now.

As we get better at dealing with change, as 2020 has trained us all to do, we need to communicate that certainty to other people. If you’re in a leadership role – or you want to be – it’s not enough to privately coping, you need to be actively encouraging other people to be at their best too.

In this final webinar, Deborah will share her techniques for selling a story, generating real presence and impact – even over Zoom – and doing it all without apologising. You can become the one who says “Let’s go, who’s with me?”

12, 19 and 26 November at 2:00pm. Book now.

Tough situation (in lockdown) and only one hour – but you gave lots of insights and shared some ideas that I wouldn’t have thought of.

Thanks so much for the workshop, it was really refreshing to experience a true online workshop, rather than just a webinar! Social interaction at this time is really welcome and allowed us to stay engaged with the content.
