This is part two of The Spontaneity Shop's foundation course in improvisation. We like all students who want to do intermediate, advanced and specialised work with us to do both parts of this foundation course.

Everyone feels uncertain about what should happen next when improvising - this course will teach you vital story telling skills. After this workshop you will be watching movies and reading novels in a different way. You will be able to deconstruct stories and see what process the writer is using. Likewise when in an improvised scene you will have skills at hand to make creative decisions that will please an audience.

You will also learn valuable techniques in status, complicity, being "in the moment" and spontaneity. We really believe that much of what blocks any creative work is the anxiety that the fear of failure creates. Therefore it is our job to provide a fun, relaxed environment where failure is a necessary part of the learning process and students are enjoying the work rather than "trying really hard to do their best" which is counterproductive.

This weekend workshop covers the same material as the last four weeks of the weekly Level 1.
