At a weekly meeting or a conference, that's a shame. In a pitch, that's a disaster.

The Cake Factor was designed specifically for presentations, to address the issue that a presentation is a bad mode for communicating data, but an excellent mode for telling a story. We are now offering an all-in-one presentations package, suitable for a group of 4-10 to take over a whole day.

The day begins with some exercises from Creativity Key to get the group into a happy, lively, creative state, as well as teaching them tools they can use in other creative situations.

An accelerated version of The Cake Factor delivers the key learnings about story structures, and participants are given the chance to reflect on how they structure and organise the material in their presentations, and the tone which they adopt when delivering them.

Next, it's the Charisma Key and we go to work tackling the anxieties that people feel standing in front of a roomful of people, and developing an impactful, dynamic, passionate, sincere and authoritative mode of behaviour.

Along the way we also look at other fundamental aspects of business presenations, such as

• What goes in the presentation and what goes in the handout?
• Do I really need all these slides?
• How to have eye-contact with an audience of 1200
• Dealing with awkward questions
• The matter of props and furniture
• What does this audience want to hear?

After lunch, each participant is given the opportunity to put all those skills into action, presenting to the group (with or without PowerPoint) in a happy and relaxed state, telling a compelling story, and behaving at their charismatic best. Every participant gets individual coaching from the trainer, and leaves with a list of ways to improve this specific presentation and all future ones. Often we follow-up this session, with a second half-day, revisiting these presentations so that improvements can be clearly assessed and measured.
