ABOUT US

The Company

Founded in 1996, The Spontaneity Shop is a professional improvisational theatre company offering workshops that address a wide variety of workplace obstacles. More often than not, good business comes down to great connections between people who trust each other, who can react in real time to problems and opportunities, and who can deal with adversity with confidence, humour, and perspective. By definition, improv performers are masters of the spoken word, positive body language, collaboration, and quick thinking.

The Spontaneity Shop brings the well founded principles of improvised performance to the workplace, removing the barriers that prevent employees being great.

Years of experience teaching improvisation at RADA, the Actors Centre, and elsewhere have given us insights into how to make bold, clear, confident, inspired communicators out of anyone. This is combined with subtle and easy-to-apply procedures known only to a handful of actors and almost never applied to the business world. These are the secrets that even high-fliers only know instinctively, which we can give you as technique.
