You're doing Level 3. How long have you been attending Spontaneity Shop
workshops?
About three years.
What do you enjoy about it?
It's fun and, unlike real work, you get instant feedback and the chance to
have another go.
How does Level 3 differ from Level 2?
It's 1 more.
How do you find performing regularly at Level 3 shows throughout the term?
It's great. Honestly. Keeps you on your toes having to do a show every other
week and you get some sort of measure of your progress.
Do you think the shows have helped your performance?
Totally, dude. Doing lots of shows is the only way to really improve.
Likewise, if anyone reading this is learning a martial art, get in some
proper fights.
You have to be invited to do Level 3 by The Spontaneity Shop directors. Is
it something that you'd recommend people do if they're asked?
Like gambling, improvisation is no fun if you don't raise the stakes. So I
say DO IT.
Do Level 3 prefer a pint or a nice early night?
Well, obviously we PREFER the pint, given the option. I mean, when we're all
making millions from impro and no longer need to trudge to the mines at the
crack of dawn? Why, then every man jack of us will gladly roister the night
away and awake in a police cell.
I hear you're also a crackshot graphic designer and are designing The
Spontaneity Shop's cool and crazy new website as we speak. Where can we find
out more about that?
